Key Areas of Focus

The Coding Interview

Don't code in silence. I help you master the art of verbalising your thought process in real time — moving from initial approaches to optimised solutions, showing your interviewer exactly how you think. This turns a stressful exercise into a structured professional demonstration.

System Design

A structured approach to requirements, components, scaling, and justifying your technology choices with clarity.

The Behavioural Round

Applying the STAR method to technical project examples to demonstrate impact, leadership, and engineering judgement.

My Role as Your Coach

I'm not a software engineer who will test your code.

My expertise is in communication, structure, and professional presentation. I help you demonstrate the full extent of your technical knowledge by teaching you to talk about it effectively. Whether you're addressing a Senior Engineer or a Lead Product Manager, we work together to find the right level of abstraction and the right narrative clarity for the audience in the room.

Built for Tech Professionals

  • Graduate and junior software engineers
  • Mid-level and senior developers
  • Software architects and principal engineers
  • Engineering managers and tech leads

"The framework for system design was exactly what I was missing. I stopped jumping straight into diagrams and started explaining my trade-offs properly. For the first time I felt in control of the technical conversation."

Questions About Tech Coaching

Yes. System design interviews test both your technical knowledge and your ability to structure a conversation under uncertainty. We work on how to open the discussion, gather requirements, propose components, and handle trade-offs in real time.
Bring the job description and any information about the process. I research the interview style of specific firms — including well-known tech companies and UK scale-ups — and tailor the mock sessions accordingly.
We can work on how to present and talk through your take-home submission — explaining your reasoning, design decisions, and trade-offs in the follow-up discussion, which is where most assessments are actually decided.
Especially relevant. The shift from individual contributor to manager is one of the hardest transitions to interview for. The questions change fundamentally — from "what did you build?" to "how did you grow your team?" and "how do you handle delivery under uncertainty?" We practise exactly this.
This coaching is about communication, not coding. Language and stack are irrelevant — the principles of talking through your solution, explaining trade-offs, and managing the conversation apply to all of them.
Most engineers see a significant shift in two to three sessions. The first session tends to be the most revealing — many technical professionals discover they're underselling themselves simply by not structuring what they say out loud.
